Terms of service
The agreement between you (the customer organisation) and NORDIC BYTE LTD for the use of IoT Together.
Last updated: 2026-09-10 · NORDIC BYTE LTD
1. Who we are and what the service is
IoT Together is a cloud platform to connect, monitor and manage IoT devices (multi-protocol ingestion, dashboards, GIS maps, rules, alerts, OTA updates, reports and an API). It is operated by NORDIC BYTE LTD ("NordicByte", "we"). These terms apply to every account and organisation on the platform.
By creating an account, or by using the service, you accept these terms on behalf of the organisation you represent. If you do not have authority to bind that organisation, do not use the service.
2. Accounts and organisations
Each customer has an organisation. The person who creates it is its owner and can invite users with different roles (owner, admin, write, read). You are responsible for the people you invite, for keeping credentials and device tokens secret, and for everything done under your organisation.
You must be at least 18 years old and provide accurate billing details. We may suspend accounts created with false information.
3. Plans, trial and billing
The service is sold by subscription (monthly or yearly) in the plans published on the pricing page. Every paid plan starts with a 30-day free trial that requires a valid payment method; on day 31 the subscription is charged automatically unless it was cancelled before. One trial per organisation.
Usage above the plan (devices, messages, storage) is charged at the plan's published unit prices at the end of each billing period when automatic overage is enabled (the default). If you disable it, the plan limits act as a hard cap and the service stops accepting new devices or data once a limit is reached.
The full rules (upgrades, downgrades, cancellation, failed payments, taxes and refunds) are in the Billing policy, which is part of these terms.
4. Acceptable use
You may not use the service to break the law, to send data you have no right to process, to attack the platform or third parties, to circumvent plan limits, or to resell access without a written reseller agreement. We may rate-limit, suspend or terminate accounts that endanger the service or other customers, with notice when it is reasonably possible.
5. Your data
Telemetry, configuration and dashboards are yours. We process them only to provide the service, as your processor, under the Privacy policy and the data processing terms in it. You can export your data at any time (CSV, ZIP, API) and it is deleted after termination as described in the Data retention policy.
You are responsible for having the right to collect and store the data your devices send, including any personal data (for example, a location tied to a person).
6. Availability, support and changes
We aim at 99.5 % monthly availability of the ingestion API and the console, excluding announced maintenance, and we provide support as described in the Support and maintenance policy. The service evolves: we may add, change or remove features; we will give at least 30 days' notice before removing a feature that materially reduces what a paid plan includes.
7. Intellectual property
We keep all rights on the platform. You receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use it during your subscription. Feedback you send may be used to improve the service without obligation.
8. Warranties and liability
The service is provided as described in the documentation. Except as required by law, we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, loss of profit, or loss of data that you could have exported. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or anything that cannot be limited by law.
The platform is not designed for safety-critical control (life support, emergency systems). Do not rely on it as the only safeguard for people or property.
9. Termination
You can cancel at any time from the billing page; the subscription ends at the end of the paid period. We may terminate for material breach not fixed within 15 days of notice, or immediately for serious abuse. On termination your access ends and your data is kept for 90 days for export, then deleted.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Material changes are announced by email and on the platform at least 30 days before they apply; continuing to use the service after that date means you accept them.
11. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections of EU residents. Questions: hello@nordicbyte.co.uk.
